Turn on and tune in to Summer Lingerie

“It’s getting’ hot in here (so hot), so take off all your clothes” is Nelly’s advice to us on a hot summer’s day (at least that’s what I think he’s referring to…….!). 

Although I’m not adverse to taking off all my clothes to cool down, I prefer to leave something to the imagination and strip down to some sexy lingerie. I’ve talked in a previous blog about the importance of finding the style and fabric that suits your own personal body type, but the intense heat we’ve been experiencing in the UK recently presents its own challenges when choosing lingerie suitable to the conditions. 

My first lingerie tip for the hot summer months is to choose a silk or cotton fabric, either of which will allow your skin to breathe whilst keeping you cool at the same time. I would also recommend nothing too tight fitting – don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting wearing it so loose that it’s hanging off you and all your bits are exposed, however anything too tight and you won’t be comfortable and your movement will be restricted (and you might have to move quickly if your sexiness attracts unwelcome attention Haha…). 

Once you’ve chosen your fabric and your ‘not so tight’ size, you should choose a combination that suits your mood and body type. I generally go for a wireless bra, because I find them very comfortable, and then couple that with a matching G-string. I often wear G-strings, not just as part of a lingerie set, as I find them unrestrictive and comfortable – not to mention sexy. 

So, in summary, follow my tips and have yourself a long, hot, sexy summer – keep cool and look cooler.
